You know you want to begin a fitness program, but don't know where to start. It's easy! Walking is one of the easiest and most effective forms of exercise. All you need is a good pair of shoes, comfortable clothing, and the desire! Come on and join a group!
This is a walking program for all fitness levels. For all of our groups it is recommended that you wear shoes you can walk in, athletic shoes, or running shoes.
Monthly incentives and prizes will be available to Walkers.
Don’t forget to print out the Release of Liability Form, sign it, turn it into MSR Suite 340 (HR/Faculty Affairs).
Walking Group Categories
Strollers – Light intensity, the point is to get up and get moving. Stop and enjoy the roses, get intoxicated by their heavenly scent.
Movers – Moderate intensity, let’s get out, get our heart rate up and the blood circulating. Briefly check out the roses and breathe the beauty in as you walk by.
Shakers – Intense exercise, get your blood pumping and produce a little sweat. Get a whiff of the roses as you whiz by.
